An antique timber frame from White River Junction, VT was restored and reconfigured for this kitchen and living room addition in Ipswich, MA. Lance had the restored sections of the frame transported to Ipswich, where he and his crew reconstructed it on site.
The reconstruction consisted of reducing the width of the original frame, adding timbers to satisfy the structural engineers, and framing the gable end to accept the chimney keeping MA fire codes in mind. The entire standup procedure for the frame was three and a half days start to finish, including travel time.
